A CAR chase in Perth's southern suburbs has ended when a stolen car with just two functioning wheels was deliberately driven through two fences.

Police started chasing a stolen Ford Fairlane in East Fremantle about 10.45am today.

Soon after, a resident of Jules Court in Willagee watched on as a silver Ford Fairlane crashed through a fence on his normally quiet cul-de-sac street, through another fence and came to rest on a property on Boon Street.

“This guy tried to get away from police by driving straight through a fence into a neighbour's property. He was trapped in a cul-de-sac,” the resident, Murray, said.

Murray said police told him the car was stolen and the driver was wanted by police on a return-to-court order.

Police media would only confirm a stolen Ford Fairlane was chased from East Fremantle this morning and that one woman had been arrested during the incident.

Murray said by the time the car came crashing through his fence, only a man was inside it, and all he could hear was sirens as police chased the man, pepper-spraying him as he was arrested.

“It was bloody scary at the time,” Murray said.

Murray said it looked like the driver thought that by going through his fence, he would come out on to a side road, but instead he went into another family’s back yard.

“It was just lucky that the neighbours, who have young kids that play outside, weren’t playing outside at the time otherwise he would have cleaned them up,” he said.

Murray said luckily the only damage to his property was a broken fence, which would be covered by insurance.

Three in court over stolen Porsche, chase

THREE men will face court today following a high speed police chase with a stolen Porsche yesterday.

The luxury car was stolen from West Leederville at the weekend and yesterday police attempted to stop the vehicle on Ivanhoe Street, Morley.

However the car sped away from the officers and a short time later was involved in a collision with another car Beechboro.

Police will allege the driver and two passengers tried to flee the scene before they were arrested.

All three will appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.

Stolen car crashes into Mirrabooka house

A STOLEN vehicle has crashed into the back of a house in Perth's north-east after a short police chase overnight.

Two men are being interviewed by police following the Mirrabooka crash.

About 9.30pm officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Mirrabooka Drive after noticing the number plates were stolen.

However, the vehicle accelerated from police, who pursued it for a short time but officers then lost sight of the car.

The vehicle was then found crashed through the rear fence and into a garage of a home on Caesia Place in Mirrabooka.

Police will allege the driver and passenger then tried to flee the scene, but were caught nearby and are expected to be charged today.

Family robbed, car stolen outside cafe

A FAMILY was threatened at knifepoint and their car stolen in a brazen robbery in front of a Midland café on Sunday.

About 2.15pm the father was waiting for his wife with his 10-year-old son outside the café near the intersection of Great Northern Highway and Toodyay Road when he was approached by a man with a knife.

The car was then stolen. Later in the day Police conducted a search on a house in Embleton.

Two men were found in the house, allegedly along with a quantity of drugs, stolen property, ammunition, and a fire arm.

Detectives have charged one of the men, a 42-year-old man, with possession of MDMA with intent to sell or supply and receiving stolen goods.

Police said the 42-year-old was expected to be further charged over the other drugs, firearm and ammunition found at the property and inquiries are continuing into the armed robbery.

Fish and chip shop hold-up

In a second robbery, a fish and chip shop was held up by a man with a knife about 7.30pm in Beechboro yesterday.

Police are calling for witnesses to the attempted armed robbery, where a man walked into the shop and demanded cash from staff.

Two staff members were at the front of the store when the man came in, but one of them yelled out for her husband, who was at the back of the shop.

The man then ran off empty handed.

He is described as olive skinned, about 180cm tall, medium build, wearing dark clothing, a red baseball cap, and a scarf over his face.

Stolen VW Golf used in robberies

POLICE are investigating a series of burglaries in Perth's southern suburbs, all involving a white Volkswagen Golf.

About 7.45am on Tuesday March 19, a white 2012 VW Golf hatchback, registration 1DVR 910, was stolen from a home in Troy Terrace, Daglish.

Nothing else was taken in the home burglary and police believe the number plates may have since been changed on the car.

About 8.50am that same day, another burglary took place at a residence in Paterson Garden, Winthrop.

A number of items were stolen and two men were spotted walking from the home before getting away in a vehicle which is believed to be the white Golf stolen from Daglish.

About 3.55am yesterday, a stolen blue Nissan Navara was used in a ram raid on the Bottle Mart liquor store in the Waikiki Village Shopping Centre in Waikiki.

At least two people stole an amount of alcohol from the store before leaving in a white Golf.

Substantial damage was caused to the entry of the store, as well as stock that was smashed by the Nissan vehicle.

A short time later, between 5.30am and 6am, a white Golf was seen at the front of the Lucky 7 Convenience Store on Coolbellup Drive in Coolbellup.

A male staff member arrived to open the store and was approached by two men who demanded his bag.

The victim refused and was punched a number of times, causing multiple facial injuries, but the two offenders left empty handed.

Detectives are also investigating whether the same vehicle and offenders are responsible for other burglary and fuel drive-off offences. They believe there may also have been a third person, possible a female, with the men during these offences.

Man in court over stolen car, two chases

A MAN has led police on two wild pursuits in three days, Midland Detectives allege.

Police have charged the 23-year-old Stratton man over a vehicle stolen in Landsdale and two chases in a car and on motorbike at the weekend.

About 11.40pm on Friday night a Ford Performance Vehicle was stolen from a home in Landsdale.

Then, at 9am on Saturday it was seen by police in Beechboro and officers attempted to stop the vehicle, however it will be alleged the driver kept going and police gave chase but had to abort for safety reasons.

The stolen vehicle was located yesterday in Balcatta.

Police identified a person of interest after the pursuit and yesterday they spotted him riding an off-road bike in Doubleview with a passenger on board.

Officers attempted to stop the bike, however the rider allegedly sped away, even riding on a footpath to escape.

The rider then lost control of the bike in Balga and he and his female passenger tried to run off but were caught and taken into custody.

The Stratton man was charged with stealing a motor vehicle, driving recklessly and two counts each of stealing, no authority to drive, reckless driving to evade police and failing to stop.

He will appear in the East Perth Magistrates Court today.
