Dog squad collars three teen burglars

POLICE dogs were used to track down a group of juveniles after a burglary on a Victoria Park bowling club overnight.

Kensington Detectives have charged three youths over the burglary at the Victoria Park Bowling Club on Kent Street about midnight.

A number of windows had been smashed and property was stolen from the club.

The dog squad was called in to track the possible offenders and two of the dogs led officers to the back of a nearby business.

A 15-year-old male and two 16-year-old females have been charged with aggravated burglary.

Another female witness said it took five to 10 minutes for police reinforcements to arrive.

The Ministry of Communications and Transportation issued a brief statement denouncing the "quarrel in an area of open access" of the airport's Terminal 2.

Airline operations "are carrying on normally and this situation does not in any way affect operations," the note said, omitting references to any people killed.

Police patrols have increased across the country ahead of Sunday's presidential election.

Three in court over stolen Porsche, chase

THREE men will face court today following a high speed police chase with a stolen Porsche yesterday.

The luxury car was stolen from West Leederville at the weekend and yesterday police attempted to stop the vehicle on Ivanhoe Street, Morley.

However the car sped away from the officers and a short time later was involved in a collision with another car Beechboro.

Police will allege the driver and two passengers tried to flee the scene before they were arrested.

All three will appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
