Flasher targets female athletes

Norway's biathlon squad is facing an indecency probe after flashing ski competitors.

POLICE are considering charges against Norwegian athletes who exposed themselves to female skiers at a World Cup event in Russia.

TV footage of the women's biathlon event shows a male with his trousers clearly down trying to distract the female skiers in sub-zero temperatures.

Race organisers in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia have reported members of the Norwegian men's team to police after a video of the prank surfaced on a  Russian news website.

The organisers said this was not the only instance throughout the race and that other men were involved.

The unidentified man lurks near the women's biathlon course.

The TV footage shows a man standing with his back to camera. As female competitors emerge from the trees, he drops his trousers and dances a little jig.

Biathlon - where skiers race from point to point ons kis and have to shoot at targets - is a serious sport in Russia.

Indecent behaviour during the race is treated as hooliganism.

As the female competitors appear, he drops his trousers.

A police spokesman said: 'We are investigating a case of alleged hooliganism. We have video evidence from numerous people, which we will be analysing over the coming days to identify all those involved."

Dancing a little jig, the man poses as the women keep calm and carry on. Police are now investigating.
