A FIRE in the Geraldton suburb of Wonthella has caused $150,000 damage to a house on the North West Coastal Highway overnight.
Two fire crews were called out to the house fire, on the highway between Phelps Street and Sixth Street, at 2.55am and had it contained by 3.15am.
The fire was contained to one bedroom and no one was injured in the blaze.

THE Arson Squad will investigate a blaze in Mandurah late last night which destroyed seven boats and left a damage bill of around $400,000.
Police were called to Yunderup Marine on Spinnaker Quay just before midnight to discover seven boats engulfed in flames.
All the boats received extensive damage.
It’s estimated the total damage bill is around $400,000.
Officers from the Arson Squad will head to the scene this morning.
VANDALS have caused more than $50,0000 damage to a house under construction in Yokine overnight.
The home is currently being built on Bradford Street, Yokine.
Police say between 6pm last night and 7am this morning vandals gained entry to the home which is at a “lock up stage.”
“The offenders went to the upstairs bathroom, put the plug in the bath and turned on the taps before leaving,” police say.
“The water ran all night, causing flooding to the first floor and running down the walls to the bottom floor.
“The water caused significant damage to electrical wiring, walls, new furniture and flooring throughout the home.”
Damage to the home is estimated to be over $50,000.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time who saw anything suspicious to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
