THE Northbridge Tunnel eastbound will be closed this weekend as part of the creation of a third lane.
It will be the first closure of the tunnel for the project, with the east carriageway closed from 9pm Friday to 5am Monday.
Detours will be in place and motorists are asked to find an alternative route.
Lane closures will also be in place on the Mitchell Freeway southbound near Vincent Street from 8pm to 8am both Friday and Saturday nights.
Those heading to the AFL at Patersons Stadium over the weekend in particular will be impacted.
